Celebrate Valentine’s Day with Pokemon GO

Not having a date this coming Valentine’s Day is not a valid reason for you to stay at home sulking. You can go out, and you don’t have to worry about being alone – you can be accompanied by your Pokemon, as Niantic Labs’ ARG Pokemon GO will be holding a special V-Day event from today until 11AM PST on February 15.

The event will give people who still play Pokemon GO even more reasons to go out and play, as the game will allow players to earn twice as much candy during the duration of the event. This applies whether they are catching, hatching, or transferring Pokemon. The Buddy Pokemon will also be able to find candy twice as fast.

Aside from the increased candy acquisition, players will also get to enjoy chasing more pink pokemon, as Chansey and Clefable will be more likely to be encountered, while there is an increased likelihood of Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Smoochum hatching from an egg. Last but not the least, Lure Modules will last for six hours during the event.
