CG Film Godzilla: Monster Planet Arrives Next Week


Netflix is getting ready to launch a new CG animated trilogy of films based on the Godzilla kaiju franchise, with the first one being released under the title Godzilla: Monster Planet. This film will focus on a group of colonists who are trying to survive in a fictional dystopian future Earth that has been dominated by the titular kaiju. In order to promote the release, Netflix has unveiled a brand new teaser as well as the worldwide release date.

Slated for a worldwide release on January 17, 2018, Godzilla: Monster Planet will feature both the original Japanese language as well as subtitles in more than 23 different languages, including English, Chinese, and Arabic. Godzilla: Monster Planet will also be available dubbed in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, and Castilian Spanish. The availability of subtitle and language dub options will vary from region to region. Godzilla: Monster Planet is directed by Kōbun Shizuno and Hiroyuki Seshita and features animation by Polygon Pictures and Toho Animation.
