Chip and Potato heads to Netflix

Internet streaming giant Netflix is getting a new preschool series from DHX Media. Titled Chip and Potato, the 2D-animated series will debut on the service starting May 17th. You can check out the landing page here.

Here’s the series description:

Chip is a friendly, curious and big-hearted 4-year-old pug who always has her secret friend, Potato, a teeny tiny mouse by her side. As Chip takes her first steps towards independence, Potato is there to discreetly provide Chip with all the comfort and confidence she needs to embark on the new stages of her life.

Produced by DHX Studios Vancouver in conjunction with Darrall Macqueen, Chip and Potato first launched in Canada on the Family Jr. channel. The first production order consists of 40 x 11-minute episodes. The show was created by Billy Macqueen, Catherine Williams and Maddy Darrall.

Abigail Oliver stars as Chip, with Andrea Libman playing Potato. Briana Buckmaster and Brian Dobson play Chip’s parents. Chance Hurstfield voices her brother Spud as Dominic Good brings her buddy Nico to life.
