Chris Williams Joins Big Hero 6 as Co-Director

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chris Williams has just joined Disney/Marvel’s big screen adaptation of Big Hero 6 as co-director, sharing duties with current named director Don Hall. Williams is known for co-writing the screenplay for the hit 2008 CG animated feature Bolt, in which he received an Oscar nomination for best animated feature. His past credits also include writing duties on Mulan, he Emperor’s New Groove, and Brother Bear. His most recent project was Frozen, in which he voiced the character Oaken.

Based on the Marvel comic book of the same name, Big Hero 6 is a 3D CG action comedy feature that follows robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, ho must save the city of San Francisco from a criminal plot with the help of a robot, Baymax; and Gogo, Honey Lemon, sushi chef Wasabi and fanboy Fred.
