CJ E&M Collaborates with UNESCO on Rainbow Ruby
UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization and CJ E&M, a content and media company in Asia have announced their collaboration agreement, supporting the girls’ education global campaign of UNESCO with Rainbow Ruby, a new preschool animation series of CJ E&M.
Rainbow Ruby is the first global animation series made by CJ E&M in cooperation with China Entertainment. According to EVP of CJ E&M Sang Gill Lee, Rainbow Ruby is a 3D CGI animation series that focuses on Ruby, a 6-year old girl who moves to Rainbow Village, an amazing place where her toys come alive. All throughout the series, Ruby experiences various professions jobs, which will introduce young girls to the idea of a dream job and allowing them to imagine how their jobs can develop their lives in the future.
It is UNESCO’s first time to join a global partnership that focuses on an animation based character for its key initiative. The show aspires to help empower young girls to have big dreams for a brighter future. It also brings understanding to the harsh reality that girls and women in several developing regions may face due to lack of education, which prevents them from attaining their full potential.
