The New Stuff

New Commercials for Namco Bandai’s Space Dandy-Inspired Galaga

Namco Bandai has just released a couple of new promo videos for a brand new space shooter game for iOS and Android devices titled Space Galaga. If you’re only familiar with the original 8-bit shooter, you’re probably thinking that the name is a little bit redundant, because the original Galaga is set in SPACE, so what did they add that it now requires the “space” prefix?

Actually, the Space prefix in the title is based on the fact that the game is a version of Galaga that is based on the anime Space Dandy. Space Galaga will feature the tried and tested addictive retro gameplay while feauring characters, ships, and missions inspired by the Shinichiro Watanabe sci-fi comedy anime. The game also adds new features such as customizable ships, bosses, and a player vs. player competitive mode.
