Coolabi Appoints French and Korean Agents for Poppy Cat

Coolabi has recently signed two new agents for their hit series Poppy Cat, further extending the brand’s reach further into the key territories of Korea and France. The two new agents are Planeta Junior, which acquired agency rights in France, and will begin airing the series through France 5 in June. The Korean rights, on the other hand, went to Asiana Licensing, which is planning to air the series on EBS.

Planeta Junior is currently owned by Grupo Planeta and DeAgostini, is currently focused on producing animated shows while taking advantage of content rights.

Asiana Licensing is one of the first few ocmpanies in Korea to start a dedicated licensing and merchandising business, and is now one of the country’s most successful agents.

“Planeta Junior and Asiana Licensing have great track records in creating innovative licensing programs and we have every confidence that they will secure some fantastic partners for Poppy Cat,” says Natasha Dyson, head of licensing at Coolabi.
