Cyber Group Sells More Than 250 Hours of Content to Asian Territories
Paris-based studio Cyber Group Studios will be increasing its footprint in Asia after a raft of new deals consisting of more than 250 half hours of content, from popular shows such as Zorro: The Chronicles, Tales of Tatonka, Mademoiselle Zazie, Zou, and others.
The CG animated Tales of Tatonka is already making a great showing in the Asia Pacific region, with Discovery Networks recently renewing the rights to the 52 x 13 series for the region. Sri Lanka and Indonesia, on the other hand, will be graced with the action comedy series Zorro: The Chronicles via Spectrum inking a deal for the TV and DVD rights to the 26 x 22 series. Zorro: The Chronicles will also be making its way to various regions through broadcast, as the rights has already been presold to various broadcasters such as Tele Quebec (Canada), VRT and RTBF (Belgium), RTVE (Spain), NPO (Netherland), RTS (Switzerland), Globosat (Brazil) and YLE (Finland).
Cyber Group Studios also signed a significant package deal with Key Intermedia in Korea for the second season of Zou (156×11′), Mademoiselle Zazie (78×7′), both produced by Cyber Group Studios and Scrawl, as well as Adams Bakery (52×13′), the upper preschool series from Changzhou Dinosaur Park and Grenadine Peppermint (78×7′).
Mademoiselle Zazie (78×7′) was also acquired by Iconix for broadcast on Skylife while JCG bought the rights of Adams Bakery (52×13′) for Kids Talk Talk channel in Korea. Good TV picked up The Long Long Holiday (10×26′) for Taiwan, while Zou (156×11′)’s second season was acquired by Momo Kids for the region.
