Day of the Crows to Screen at San Sebastian Film Fest
The 2D animated feature Days of the Crows is slated to screen at the 2012 Spanish San Sebastian Film Festival in the New Directors category. Based on the same-titled novel from Jean-Francois Beauchemin, Day of the Crows was already screened at the 2012 Annecy Festival, albeit not as an entry into the competition.
Day of the Crows is produced by Finalement, Melusine Productions, Walking the Dog, and Max Films Animation. It follows the story of a father and son who have lived their lives in complete isolation in a forest somewhere, with the child growing up in fear and admiration of his father, with his only companions being the ghosts that haunt the forests. When the child discovers a neighboring village, he meets a young girl and develops a bond that will change his life forever.
The 60th San Sebastian Film Festival runs from September 21-29 in Spain, while Day of the Crows will be released in France on October 24 by Gebeka Films.
