DHX Media has inked ten new broadcast deals for Teletubbies updated series with networks all over the globe. The preschool series has been licensed to BBC Worldwide’s CBeebies (Asia, Africa, Poland), TVE’s Clan (Spain), Hop! Media Group (Israel), NPO Zappelin (Netherlands), Nickelodeon (Greece), JimJam (Benelux), MTVA’s M2 (Hungary), SIC (Portugal), Ultra (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro).
Previously joined broadcasting partners include Nick Jr. (U.S.), CBeebies (U.K.), Gulli (France), ABC Kids (Australia), Rai YoYo (Italy) and Family Jr. (Canada).
The new iteration features the voices of remarkable British actors including Jane Horrocks, Jim Broadbent, Fearne Cotton, Daniel Rigby and Antonia Thomas. It follows the same styling and lovable characters of the original 1997 series but it now includes visual enhancements with contemporary and refreshed look and feel. The modern show also incorporates 21st century elements such as high-tech Tubby Phone and Touch Screen tummy.
