Monster Entertainment’s 2D animated series I’m a Creepy Crawly has been acquired by Discovery Networks Int. for Central/South Asian, India and Pacific Rim territories. The series is scheduled for June 2012 delivery, and has already been pre-sold to 60 territories via broadcasters such as RTE Ireland, YLE, Finland, DR Denmark, TVO, Knowledge Network and BBC Canada, Noga Israel and Educarse Argentina.
I’m a Creepy Crawly is a 52×2 in-house produced cartoon that uses insects to educate kids on all the fun, interesting, and sometimes “icky” facts about insect biology. More importantly, it teaches about respect for other species as it teaches kids how humans sometimes misunderstand the behavior of insects most of the time.
“We are delighted to have such a highly respected brand as Discovery Networks onboard for this series,” says Andrew Fitzpatrick, chairman of Dublin-based Monster Entertainment.
Discovery has also acquired Monster’s other pre-school shows I’m a Dinosaur, and I’m a Monster, both of which follow the same structure as I’m a Creepy Crawly, but with different subject matters.
