During the recent D23 Expo 2015, Disney revealed some key details about the upcoming third iteration of their toy/videogame merchandising juggernaut, Disney Infinity. Dubbed Disney Infinity 3.0, the game is said to include a few new additions taken from the House of Mouse’s rich library of brands and characters. This time around, it’s from their videogame collaboration with Square Enix, Kingdom Hearts.
According to the reveal, Disney Infinity 3.0 will include the Keyblade weapon and a King Mickey costume for Mickey Mouse. The Keyblade will be available to players as a special unlock, similar to the lightsaber in the original Disney Infinity. The King Mickey costume, on the other hand, is exclusive for now and can only be unlocked via one of the discs given away to lucky D23 attendees. VP of production John Vignocchi obviously wasn’t the bringer of good news when he stated that they “will never make these costume change discs again.”
Disney Infinity 3.0 hits consoles, PC, and Android/iOS devices later this month.
