Disney Releases New OZ Pics and Trailer

The trailer for Sam Raimi’s upcoming take on L. Frank Baum’s Oz was already unveiled at the San Diego Comic Con, but Disney has seen fit to supplement it with an online release of several images designed to show you the beauty of the landscape in 2013’s Oz: The Great and Powerful.

The movie follows the story of a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, who is transported to the vibrant land of Oz by a hurricane. In Oz, the magician meets three witches – Theodora, Evanora, and Glinda – who are not convinced that he’s the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. It is up to Oscar to use his skill for illusion and performance to transform himself into the great and powerful Wizard that the land so desperately needs.

Oz: The Great and Powerful is scheduled for release on US shores on March next year. The film features a star studded cast that includes James Franco, Mila Kunis, Zach Braff, Michelle Williams, and Rachel Weisz. The dramatic score is composed by Danny Elfman.
