Disney has just announced that their 2013-slated animated feature, Frozen, will be co-directed by Jennifer Lee. This is not the first time Lee has worked for Disney, as she is one of the writers of Disney’s recent videogame-themed blockbuster Wreck-It Ralph.
Frozen features the voices of risten Bell and Idina Menzel, and will be a brand new take on Hans Christian Andersen’s iconic fairy tale, the Snow Queen. Disney’s take will feature a fearless optimist named Anna, an extreme mountain man named Kristoff and his pet reindeer, and an epic journey in order to find Anna’s sister Elsa, the Snow Queen, and put an end to her icy spell.
“Jenn has a real connection to the film and creates dynamic and relatable characters. Her sense of comedy, adventure and story structure paired with Chris Buck’s vast experience and incredible instincts create an ideal situation for this film,” says producer Peter Del Vecho.
