Disney’s Lady and the Tramp on Blu-Ray February 7th

February will see the release of Disney’s 1955 animated film, The Lady and the Tramp, on Blu-Ray, marking the classic animated feature’s first release in the new media format and the first time young kids (and adults who remember the original) are given a chance to enjoy the timeless classic in high definition, and with various bonus content.

Marked as the fifteenth animated film in the Walt Disney Animated Classics Series, and the first ever animated feature filmed in the Cinemascope widescreen film process, Lady and the Tramp follows the story of a female American Cocker Spaniel named Lady, who lives with a wealthy, refined upper class family, and a male stray mutt who is simply known “The Tramp.” The relationship that has blossomed between the two animals is strained not only by Lady’s loyalty to her human family and their newborn baby, but by Tramp’s devil-may-care attitude that eventually gets Lady in trouble and tossed into the dog pound.
