Doomsday Rumored to Appear in Batman v. Superman

While there are a lot of confirmed details regarding the cast for Batman v. Superman, some of the actors’ roles are not set in stone (or confirmed.) One new pervasive rumor concerns the appearance of one of Superman’s deadliest enemies, the genetically engineered alien Doomsday, who was responsible for “killing” the Man of Steel at one point in time.

The rumor comes from Bleeding Cool, so it’s not just speculation from some random comic book fan somewhere. The site claims that some of their top sources have already seen character designs for the villain. What gives the rumor even more weight is that one of the extra features on the Man of Steel Blu-Ray teases Doomsday.

However, this is still nothing but rumor, and the fact that the film already has a wealth of villain makes it hard to imagine how they can fit one more (perhaps just a tease, to set him up for an appearance in the Justice League film? After all, Doomsday is one of the villains that actually require a team of super heroes to take down.)
