DQ Entertainment International has just appointed toy company Sun-Mate Corporation as the master global toy partner for their new CGI-animated TV series The Jungle Book. Under the partnership, Sun-Mate will be creating a wide variety of toys based on the series.
The Sun-Mate toys will consist of play sets, figurines, plush, electronic toys, walkie-talkies, role play, and outdoor adventure sets all slated for launch at the 2013 Hong Kong Toy Fair, New York Toy Fair, Nuremberg Toy Fair and the Australian Toy Fair.
Sun-Mate was previously named as The Jungle Book master toy licensee in North America, New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa by California-based SMC Entertainment. SMC currently holds North American rights for home entertainment, licensing, merchandising, and promotional rights for the series, while DQ Entertainment is the global rights owner and producer of the series, which is currently airing in 165 countries worldwide and has more than 100 global licensees.
