Dragon Quest X MMO Makes Its Way to the 3DS

It was recently announced that square Enix’s Dragon Quest X MMORPG is coming to Nintendo 3Dses in Japan, and while handheld ports of extremely popular games are not completely unheard of, what makes this one special is that it will be cross-platform compatible, so that those playing on a 3DS will be able to play with those playing on the smartphone or console versions. The 3DS release is planned for September 4.

Dragon Quest X will be priced at ¥3,800 ($37) on 3DS and will have a subscription fee similar to the other versions. A 3-day pass is ¥350, a 10-day pass is ¥650, and a 30-day pass is ¥1,500 ($15). Bear in mind that if you’re not in Japan, there are two things that will prevent you from playing – first is that the 3DS is regionlocked, second is that the game’s servers itself are region-restricted. Thankfully, importing and VPNs can fix both problems for you if you are really desperate to play the game.
