DreamWorks and Youtube to Collaborate on a Daily Series?
According to a recent report by Variety, online video hosting service and content provider Youtube has partnered with DreamWorks Animation in order to work on what may be an original co-production, which will launch on Youtube’s service by the end of the month. Variety’s sources state that “Youtube Nation” will serve as a highlight reel of what’s currently popular on the service, and will most likely help promote the growing number of partner-generated content in Youtube, which range from indie projects to big media company offerings.
Some insiders say that Youtube Nation is the latest part of DreamWorks’ campaign to expand and diversify their portfolio, and will be complementing the other content development deals they have strucker with Netflix and RTL. The studio also acquired the popular Youtube multichannel network AwesomenessTV.
