Equestria Girls YouTube series debuts November 17th
The year of My Little Pony continues as Hasbro’s previously announced Equestria Girls digital series will launch on YouTube next month alongside a new line of dolls. 45 new digital shorts will debut on the streaming service starting November 17th, with a new episode launching every Friday.
Here’s a sneak peek:
The magic of Equestria cannot be contained! It’s found its way into the world of the all new My Little Pony: Equestria Girls Digital Series and it’s turning everything on its head. From afterschool clubs to beach days, music festivals to theme parks, and a rockin’ Spring Break on a yacht, magic is sure making things interesting. Join Sunset Shimmer, Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity as they learn what it means to be superheroes while they take on their biggest challenge yet: high school.
Hasbro will launch a new line of dolls in North America in December 2017 and globally in January 2018. The line has been refreshed by Laura Shuffman, the official My Little Pony: Equestria Girls celebrity stylist, to add new, highly fashionable outfits for all of the Mane 7.
My Little Pony: Equestria Girls originally launched in 2013 as a spinoff to the Friendship is Magic television series. Prior to the new YouTube series, it had inspired four direct-to-video/TV films, 3 TV specials and a small line of digital shorts. The franchise was created by Hasbro Studios and has featured animation by DHX Studios Vancouver and Boulder Media.
