First Look at Netflix’s Castlevania Series

The eagerly anticipated and frequently talked about animated adaptation of the Castlevania franchise is finally seeing progress, as Netflix has just unveiled the first teaser trailer. This should allow fans to get a glimpse of what’s in store when the series premieres on the streaming service on July 7, 2017.

Netflix’s Castlevania series will have 4 x 30 minute episodes. If that’s not enough for fans, it’s worth noting that the series already has a second season planned for 2018, so there’s enough runtime involved to do the videogame franchise justice.

Synopsis:

Inspired by the classic Konami video game series, Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy yarn that follows the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, who is trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of the king of vampires, Vlad Dracula Tepe, himself. The animated series is written by best-selling author and comic book icon Warren Ellis and executive produced by Warren Ellis, Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert and Adi Shankar.
