Disney XD has recently unveiled a 90-second teaser for the upcoming relaunch of the DuckTales TV series. The modernised take on the classic animated comedy series will feature a number of very recognizable names lending their voice talents to well-loved characters, such as David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck; Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz and Bobby Moynihan as the voices of Huey, Dewey and Louie, respectively; Kate Micucci as Webby Vanderquack; Beck Bennett as Launchpad McQuack and Toks Olagundoye as Mrs. Beakley.
If you want to check the voice actors doing their thing, and to see if the new animation style is effective, you can check out the First Look teaser below:
As for the creative staff, you know the franchise is in good hands with Annie Award nominee Matt Youngberg (Ben 10: Omniverse) serving as executive producer, while Francisco Angone (Wander Over Yonder) serves as co-producer and story editor, and Sean Jimenez (Gravity Fals) as art director.
The new and improved DuckTales series will once again take viewers on an adventure as the obscenely rich Scrooge McDuck, his mischievous grandnephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie go on high flying adventures around the world with the team of Donald Duck, Webby Vanderquack, Launchpad McQuack, and Ms. Beakley going along for the ride.
“Fans around the world are eager and we’re looking forward to introducing viewers to the all-new DuckTales,” said Disney XD SVP, Programming and General Manager Marc Buhaj in making the announcement. “This early season two order is a testament to the quality work the creative team, led by Matt and Frank, and the cast are delivering.”
