Ciwen Media Group has recently signed a deal with China’s national broadcaster Chinese Central Television (CCTV) in order to air the preschool series Franklin and Friends on the latter’s kid-targeted channel, CCTV Kids (CCTV-14).

Franklin and Friends will air on CCTV-14 in Chinese starting on September 23, and will continue to air its remaining 52 x 30 min episodes from Monday to Friday at 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm via CCTV Kids’ Animation World Block. The series will use a new opening song recorded by CCTV Kids’ popular channel host Uncle Dong Hao.

“Franklin and Friends appeals to children across the globe, and its educational value transcends national boundaries,” says Sean Chu, Vice President of Ciwen Kids. “We are very excited to bring Franklin and Friends to China’s children and to be a part of this landmark licensing agreement.”
