Full Metal Alchemist to Get Full Length Live Action Adaptation

The famous manga and anime series Fullmetal Alchemist will come back to fans in a live action movie. The anime was serialized from 2001 to 2010 and was adapted into 2 anime series, with its latest Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood ended in 2010. Considered as one of the best works of Arakawa Hiromu and known to be one of the most iconic works in the recent decades, the classic is finally coming back.

Planned for summer 2017, the movie will feature Edward Elric Yamada Ryosuke (Hey! Say! JUMP, NYC) for the lead role. Yamada has starred as the hero of the live action Assassination Classroom, which was adapted from the hit shounen manga series.
