Future Card Buddyfight X All-Star Fight’s English dub debuts May 5th
The official Facebook page for Bushiroad’s Future Card Buddyfight franchise has announced that the English language version of the anime’s latest season will launch on May 5th. Titled All-Star Fight, the new episodes bring fierce competitors from all worlds to compete in the GGG Cup. The show launched in Japan and began streaming in Japanese with English subtitles on April 7th.
The dub isn’t all Buddyfight fans have to look forward to. On June 2nd, a new series will launch starring Gao’s son Yuga. Details on Future Card Buddyfight Ace (known as Shin Buddyfight in Japan) are limited, but more information is expected to be devulged on May 15th during a Bushiroad online presentation. The new series will coincide with the launch of the Shin Buddyfight manga debuting in the May issue of CoroCoro Comic.
The franchise launched in 2014 with Bushiroad’s titular trading card game, the anime series and the manga. The animated incarnations have all been produced by OLM in collaboration with Bushiroad and partnered animation studio Xebec. In what was a rare move at the time, the English dubbed version of the show debuted on the same day as Japan until midway through the second season. From that point onwards, the show was only made in Japanese with subtitles. The dub resumed production with last year’s fourth season, Future Card Buddyfight X. The English version is produced by Ocean Productions’ team in Alberta, Canada.
Bushiroad’s other TCG franchise, Cardfight!! Vanguard is also going through a reboot that’ll debut on May 5th. The English language version is expected to launch later in the month.
