Genius Brands Launches SpacePOP Retail Products at Toys ‘R’ Us
Just in time for the holiday shopping season, Genius Brands International has is getting ready for a mass retail launch of their music-driven tween hit brand SpacePOP, exclusively through select Toys “R” Us stores all over the country and on the toysrus.com website this coming December. The merchandising campaign is expected to benefit from the massive audience that grew around the hit property, whose Youtube channel managed to accumulate over 10 million views.
The SpacePOP product line includes beauty and bath products (Taste Beauty); books — including the brand-new second chapter book Rockin’ the Rebellion (Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group); blind bags (Commonwealth/License 2 Play); deluxe collector fashion dolls of the five princesses (Madame Alexander); headphones and microphones (KIDdesigns); bags, backpacks and water bottles (FAB Starpoint); socks, umbrellas and cold weather accessories (Berkshire Fashions); activity sets (Canal Toys), board games and puzzles (Goliath); novelty candy (Flix Candy) and DVDs (Sony Pictures Home Entertainment).
There will also be new music CDs, including an exclusive version of the SpacePOP soundtrack featuring a single from YouTube star Angelic (Sony Music/Legacy Recordings). In order to support the product launch, Genius Brands has included the product line into their SpacePOP entertainment content, which is available not just on Youtube but also on different digital platforms such as Kabillion Girls Rule!, Toon Goggles, PopJam, BatteryPOP, and Kid Genius channel on Comcast.
