Giochi Preziosi, Planeta Junior, and Kotoc have recently unveiled a brand new 3D CG action comedy TV series based on the popular Gormiti franchise, via a special event during this year’s MIPJUNIOR. The series was written by an international team of writers helmed by LA-based Romain Van Liemt, who is the creator as well. The animation is handeld by Kotoc, whose past credits include Sendokai Champions and Mutant Busters.
The Gormiti series will consist of 52 x 11 minute episodes. The series is aimed towards boys aged 5-8. The Gormiti TV series aims to be true to the globally-popular toy franchise, which was already distributed in over 50 countries and has sold more than 500 million figures to date (and a reported retail sales figure amounting to €1.5 Billion.) Production has already started and the first 26 episodes are already penciled in for a 2018 delivery date.
