Guru Studio Launches Merchandising Program for True and the Rainbow Kingdom
Children’s entertainment company Guru Studio has recently announced the debut of a merchandising program for their hit new preschool series, True and the Rainbow Kingdom. The move is not surprising, given that the show managed to build a massive audience on Netflix in the US and CBC in Canada.
True and the Rainbow Kingdom is currently one of Guru Studio’s flagship preschool shows. It is notable for being produced in collaboration with Pharrell Williams’ I Am Other, world-r i Am Other, world-renowned iconic artists, FriendsWithYou, and Home Plate Entertainment. The show was so popular that Netflix has already greenlit a third season for 2019.
The True and the Rainbow Kingdom merchandising program will expand the property’s licensing program beyond the previously confirmed master toy agreement with Toy State, via new licensing agreements brokered by Brand Central LLC. The new licensees include Palamon (costumes); American Marketing Enterprises (sleepwear); GBG Socks (hosiery); Chouette (master publishing); and Bendon Inc. for coloring books and art sets. The lines will be available at retail in North America beginning Fall 2018 and expand globally in 2019.
