HBO and Turner Join Forces for New SVOD: TOONIX
Time-Warner companies HBO Nordic and Turner EMEA have recently collaborated in order to launch a new streaming video on demand service called TOONIX. This new SVOD service is geared towards delivering animated content to a very young 3-to-12 year old demographic, providing access to thousands of episodes of TV and movie content from the rich entertainment catalogue of Turner and Warner Bros.
Under the current business model, Toonix is offered free for those who are already subscribed to HBO Nordic, which carries more than 2,000 plus episodes of popular TV shows (such as Game of Thrones and Westworld) for audiences in Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark. Some of the properties confirmed for Toonix are The Amazing World of Gumball, Looney Tunes, LEGO Ninjago, Scooby-Doo, Tom and Jerry, Shaun the Sheep, Alfie Atkins, and My Little Pony. Also featured are local favorites Pippi Longstocking and The Moomins. The shows are streamed without any advertising.
