Henry Hugglemonster Arrives on Disney Jr. This April
A new monster family will be making their presence known on Disney Jr. this spring, as Dublin’s Brown Bag toon shop preps the new preschool show Henry Hugglemonster for its House of Mouse premiere on Monday, April 15 at 5pm.
Henry Hugglemonster is based on the I am a Happy Hugglwug series of books by award winning children’s author/illustrator Niamh Sharkey, and follows the adventures of a five year old monster named Henry Hugglemonster, who is the middle child in a happy, close-knit monster family, as he shares everyday life lessons targeted towards kids aged 2 to 7. The series already premiered in the UK via Disney Junior last February, and will continue to roll out to over 150 countries worldwide for the rest of the year.
Henry Hugglemonster’s debut on Disney Junior will be supported by a Henry Hugglemonster supersite, which will go live on Monday, March 18 at the DisneyJunior.com website. The supersite will feature a Monster Family Maker activity where kids can create their own unique monster family, a Henry’s Roaring Racers game, and a preview of a full 22 minute episode of the show will be made available for download on iTunes beginning Monday, April 1. An 11-minute sneak peek episode will be presented Friday, April 5 on Disney Channel (8:55 a.m., ET/PT) and will also air on Disney Junior multiple times throughout the weekend (April 5-7).
