My Hero Academia to Get a Stage Play Adaptation Next Year?

It was previously reported that Legendary Pictures is planning a live action film adaptation of Kohei Horikoshi’s superhero shonen manga, My Hero Academia. If that’s not enough to sate your live action MHA desires, then the latest tweet from their official Twitter should stoke the fires further: according to the Tweet, a stage play adaptation titled My Hero Academia The Ultra Stage is planned.

The tweet features a teaser visual with All Might exclaiming “I am here at a stage play!!!” You can check it out below:

The stage play is scheduled to be performed in Tokyo and Osaka in the spring of 2019, and Tsuneyasu Motoyoshi, who recently worked on a musical adaptation of the Seraph of the End manga in 2016, is attached to direct. Further details such as cast and schedule will be announced at a later a later date.
