Heroes: Legend of the Battle Discs Acquired by Marvista Entertainment

As part of MarVista Entertainment’s recent push to bolster their library, the independent producer and distributor has acquired the worldwide distribution frights to Asahi Production’s action-adventure anime series, Heroes: Legend of the Battle Discs. MarVista plans to debut the new series at this year’s upcoming MIPjr market.

MarVista will be offering 26 x 30 minute episodes from the new animated series, which is targeted towards boys aged 4 to 10 years old. Heroes: Legend of the Battle Discs focuses on a galaxy located near the center of the universe, which is home to the Planet Aernia where an Academy fosters and trains heroes for an ultimate mission: to fight against the Dark Desire that is trying to destroy the world. Before boys become members Heroes, they need to search for powerful secret weapons as they train to become true Heroes fighting for justice!

Heroes: Legend Of The Battle Disks is directed by Masahiro Hosoda (Dragonball Z The Movie, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh) and written by Junki Takegami (Naruto, Yu-Gi-Oh, Power Rangers) with character designs by Yoshihiro Nagamori (Bakugan, Yu-Gi-Oh, Beyblade). The series is produced by Kosuke Harada and Hiroaki Taneoka and by Japan’s Asahi Production (Blue Drop, Super Robot Wars Original Generation).

“MarVista continues its commitment to making an impact on children’s programming with superb content,” comments Szew. “Heroes: Legend of the Battle Discs was written, directed and produced by a top caliber team with a solid track record of delivering top quality and hugely successful programming in this genre of boys action adventure, and we look forward to debuting it to potential partners at MIP Jr.”

“With MarVista’s exceptional global footprint and expertise in the distribution of boy’s action series, we are excited to partner with Fernando and his team to bring our engaging and visually captivating adventure series to young audiences around the world,” says Hiroaki Taneoka, Producer, HEROES Legend of Battle Disks.
