Japan’s Cinema Today has recently posted a high quality version of the second full trailer for the upcoming Dragon Ball Z – Battle of Gods movie, which is slated for a March 30 release. The trailer features a lot fan-targeted footages, including the Great Saiyaman to Giant Ape Transformation:
Dragon Ball Z – Battle of Gods is set in the blank decade after Majin Buu’s defeat, and focuses on the God of Destruction, Bills, who awakens from his sleep after sensing Goku’s fight with Freeza. Bills is looking for someone strong enough to give him a challenging fight, but who will save the universe when even Goku’s Super Saiyan 3 transformation proves unable to match the god’s strength?
Dragon Ball Z – Battle of Gods is notable for having the input of series creator Akira Toriyama, and it promises a new level of transformation for Goku, one that goes beyond Super Saiyan 3 and is referred to as Super Saiyan God. There’s no clarification on whether the new super saiyan stage retcons Super Saiyan 4, which was introduced in Dragon Ball GT (a series that had no input from Toriyama).
