Kid-targeted edutainment app Hopster is continuing its foray into new platforms, with the latest one being Apple TV. The app was launched in the UK via Apple TV last May, but now Hopster will also be launching on Apple TV in over 100 other countries, in addition to countries where it is already live such as in Australia, the Middle East, South East Asia, and India.
For the uninitiated, Hopster provides access to over hundreds of select episodes of top preschool shows from all over the globe. The app boasts of a special “Discover” mode that categorizes episodes based on curriculum and other factors, making the experience intuitive even for people not familiar with the shows.
In support of the expansion, Hopster has just appointed a new Chief Technical Officer, Chris Brooke, who is formerly from Quib.ly and will now be responsible for expanding the in-house engineering team and bolster their existing technical structure.
