Leading Spanish production and distribution company Imira Entertainment has recently closed a deal that will allow them to represent two features – – El Bosque Animado (The Living Forest) (1 x 82’) and El Sueño de una noche de San Juan (Midsummer Dream) (1 x 80’) for worldwide distribution.
El Bosque Animado (The Living Forest) focuses on the story of every element of flora and fauna in the Cecebre Forest, which is a location in the historical Spanish region of Galicia. El Sueño de una noche de San Juan (Midsummer Dream), on the other hand, is based on Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and features Brian Blessed as Oberon, Romola Garai as Helena, Rhys Ifans as Lysander and Fiona Shaw as the vocal talent behind the three witches.
“These two features are stunning examples of the wealth of creative talent present in Spain, and we are proud to come on board as worldwide distributors for these titles,” says Sergi Reitg, CEO of Imira Entertainment. “Imira Entertainment successfully represents producers from around the world in its third party slate, selling into key territories and using our network of solid relationships with global broadcasters.”
