Imira Entertainment Completes New Asian Deals
Spanish youth-targeted production and distribution company Imira Entertainment has just completed a number of new program sales in Asia, ahead of next month’s Asia Television forum. The new deals include Sandra, The Fairytale Detective (52×13), which has been acquired for free TV by Media Corp TV12 (Singapore) and by CH-9 Media (Malaysia); In Vietnam, Hanoi TV/Ho Chi Minh TV picks up the free TV rights to Lola & Virginia (52×12) and Sandra, The Fairytale Detective via a deal with local distributor Thaole Entertainment; Zee Learn TV Channel takes free and pay TV rights to Vitaminix (104×2) for Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka; Good TV picks up cable and satellite rights to Saari (39×3) for Taiwan and the Philippines.
The new batch of Imira deals come immediately after other Asian deals for their new animated series Lucky Fred, which has been acquired for pay TV by Tooniverse (South Korea) and free TV by RTM (Malaysia). These two deals join additional Asian broadcasters Nickelodeon Asia and South Korea and Disney India that have signed on for the series.
