Injustice: Gods Among Us Adds Aquaman as a Playable Fighter
Injustice: Gods Among Us recently stopped posting videos of playable characters and went ahead with a story trailer, which provides the reason why all of these heroes and villains are at each other’s throats. People naturally assumed that we’ve already seen the last of the roster, but lo and behold: a new trailer has been released revealing a new character – Aquaman.
Aquaman is unfairly shunned by many comic book fans because people are focusing way too much on his main power, which oddly enough amounts to “won’t drown,” and “can talk to (not control) marine life.” both of which sound very crappy compared to the other Leaguers’ powers (except maybe for Hawkman, whose main power is “can reach books at the top of the shelf without requiring a ladder.”)
However, what most people forget is that Aquaman lives deep underwater, where the pressures would turn normal human flesh into pulp. Aquaman has to be sturdy and strong enough to live in the depths of the ocean, much less be effective as fighter. He’s still nowhere near as tough as Superman, nor will he be able to beat Batman in a straight fight (because NO ONE beats Batman in a straight fight. It’s a scientifically proven fact.), but we’re guessing Aquaman can carry his own weight in a fight against us surface dwellers, even if he has stupid fish powers.
