Iron Giant Hits Home this September 6

The Iron Giant will be making its way to home video through Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The iconic animated feature’s Signature Edition will celebrate the film’s launch on Blue-ray and the fully remastered 1999 film will be available as an Ultimate Collector’s Edition, which features 2 all-new scenes).

A recipient of 9 Annie Awards, the film is a story about an unlikely friendship between a disobedient Hogarth (Eli Marienthal) and a giant robot (Vin Diesel). The voice casts also include Harry Connick Jr. and Jennifer Aniston. Produced by Des McAnuff and Allison Abbate, The Iron Giant is from a screen story by Brad Bird and the screenplay is by Tim McCanlies and Brad Bird.

The Iron Giant: Signature Edition’s Blu-ray is priced at $14.97 and contains both the original theatrical version and the Signature Edition in high definition, together with The Giant’s Dream, the new, state-of-the-art making-of documentary. The Ultimate Collectors Edition is also available for $74.99, which includes the film versions in SD and HD, a hardcover art book of the said film, a documentary, a 4-inch articulated Iron Giant statue, collectible Mondo art cards and a letter from Bird.

The sets also include additional scenes including mini documentary segments, additional scenes (with alternate opening), motion gallery and more.
