Jackie Chan Joins the Cast of Nut Job 2
Jackie Chan has agreed to voice one of the characters in the film The Nut Job 2. The movie also features the voices of Katherine Heigi, Will Arnett and Maya Rudolph and will come in theaters on May 19, 2017 via Open Road Films.
The Nut Job 2 is the sequel to the very successful family toon The Nut Job, which received the biggest box-office opening for an indie animated feature worldwide. The film follows Surly Squirrel and his friends as they group together to save Liberty Park from the wicked mayor of Oakton and his bulldozer plans.
The award-winning actor will voice Mr. Feng, the furry but fearsome Kung-Fu master mouse. Underneath his friendly and charming exterior is the heart of a ferocious, menacing and territorial leader of a gang of a city mice who is determined to defend his turf from all trespassers.
Directec by Cal Brunker, The Nut Job 2 is written by Bob Barlen, Scott Bindley and Cal Brunker. The movie is a production of Redrover, ToonBox Entertainment, Gulfstream Pictures and Shanghai Hoongman Technology. Open Road Films will manage theatrical distribution in the U.S. while the Weinstein Company owns sales rights all over the world including Korea and China.
