Japan Gets Overview Trailer for Sonic Forces

Maybe Sega is finally realizing that Sonic Forces isn’t as well received in the West as it is in Japan, because a new overview trailer for the upcoming 3D platformer has just been released — for the Japanese audience. At least, that’s what we think, for all we know Japanese language trailers are now being targeted towards the western audience.

Like the generally well-received Sonic Generations, both modern and classic Sonic feature in Sonic Forces and they’re featured in the trailer as well. But it also delves a little bit into the newest addition to the roster (and game mechanics!): your very own anthropomorphic custom character! The trailer lets you see the custom hero’s style alongside the series’ more established protagonists, as well as a glimpse of the power ups and other features. You can check out the trailer below:

Sonic Forces hits PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC in the west on November 7, followed by Japan on November 9
