Justin Bieber Helps Santa in Animated Music Video
As a nice break from recent tabloid troubles, the young pop prince Justin Bieber is trying to celebrate the coming Yuletide season with a new animated music video. The new animagic video for “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town’ features an animated version of the Canadian singer, interacting with famous scenes that will remind you of Rankin-Bass’ classic Christmas special, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.
Fans who feel that the Biebs should avoid trying to tackle mature themes so soon will be glad that the video is lighthearted, as it shows Justin helping Santa for the big holiday, and doing all sorts of Christmas-y things; Opening presents with the help of his drummer penguin friend, snowboarding down a snow-covered mountain, and the mandatory “ride on the back of a flying reindeer” scene.
Moviegoers who will attend the screenings of Arthur Christmas (from Sony/Aardman Animations) on Nov. 23 will get a chance to see another version of the Bieber Santa video, which will use CG-animation.
The video serves as a teaser for Justin Bieber’s holiday album, Under The Mistletoe, which is a mix of traditional Christmas songs and modern holiday music co-written by Bieber himself. The album’s debut single, Mistletoe, will also be used in TV spots for Arthur Christmas.
