A Krampus Carol by Anthony Bourdain
We have it really good. I mean, if we’re good kids, Santa gives us presents on Christmas, and if we’re not, he just includes us on his list of naughty children who won’t get any gifts. Kids from Alpine countries don’t have such luck. Sure, they have Santa Claus. But if they so much as do something that gets them on the naughty list, instead of being passed over, they get abducted by Santa’s horned, beast-like creature assistant – Krampus.
Anthony Bourdain recently wrote a stop motion Krampus short, entitled A Krampus Carol, for his Travel Channel series, No Reservations, but it was pulled from broadcast to avoid conflicts related to the recent Penn State scandal. The good chaps at Zero Point Zero Productions put it on Youtube instead.
