Lady and the Tramp II – Scamp’s Adventure: Special Edition

Lady and the Tramp II – Scamp’s Adventure: Special Edition

Disney has just released a special Blu-Ray edition of Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp’s Adventure, which marks the film’s first time on Blu-Ray format. It was originally released as a direct to video sequel to Lady and the Tramp, and focuses on the titular canines’ mischievous pup Scamp, who is always sent to the doghouse. In his yearnings for a collar-free life, Scamp goes on an exciting adventure on his own.

While Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp’s Adventure is not as good nor as noteworthy as its predecessor, it still provides a few good laughs and will help you close the book and the Lady and the Tramp’s story if the original left you wanting more. The songs are excellent, though, and the Blu Ray release provides a whole new host of bonus features:

From Tramp to Scamp – A seventeen minute look at the making of the movie from storyboards to completion and more. This is the most comprehensive look behind the scenes on the disc.

Audio Commentary – A decent commentary track with director Darrell Rooney, animation director Steve Trenbirth and co-director and producer Jeannine Roussel.

Puppy Trivia Track – A pop-up animal trivia track for kids.

Sing-Along Songs – There’s five different songs to sing along with their karaoke subtitles.

Classic Walt Disney Shorts – There’s three different cartoons on here including: “Pluto Junior,” “Bone Trouble” and “Pluto’s Kid Brother.”
