According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. is currently prepping a new live-action/CG animation hybrid based on the LEGO franchise, called LEGO: The Piece of Resistance. The CG animation will be provided by Australian house Animal Logic (Happy Feet), and will feature Chris Pratt as the lead.
LEGO: The Piece of Resistance follows Emmet (Pratt), who is an ordinary Lego mini figure who is mistaken for a MasterBuilder and drafted into a fellowship of strangers who are currently undertaking a quest to stop an evil tyrant from gluing the universe together. The film features cameos from other famous characters that will be appearing in Lego form, such as Batman, who will be voiced by Will Arnett, and Superman, which has been offered to Channing Tatum. Other guest characters that have been hinted include Yoda and Indiana Jones, who also have their own Lego appearances in other media.
Lego: The Piece of Resistance is slated for a February 28, 2014 release date.
