Level 5 Wants to Adapt Studio Ghibli’s Castle in the Sky

It seems like game developers Level 5 are so pleased with their collaboration with Studio Ghibli on Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch that they want to have another go at it, this time by adapting one of Studio Ghibli’s popular works, Castle in the Sky.

During a group interview session at a pre-TGS event at Namco Bandai HQ, Level 5’s CEO Akihiro Hino commented that he would love to work with Studio Ghibli again, and would prefer to adapt Hayao Miyazaki’s Castle in the Sky into game form if given the chance.

“If there is a potential opportunity to work with them again,” Hino said, “yes, we’d like to work on some joint projects with them in the future – if there is, of course, a possibility.”

When a representative from gaming news site Joystiq asked about potential projects and Studio Ghibli properties they want to adapt, Castle in the Sky was brought up.
