Little Airplane Looking for Partners for New Domo-Kun Series

U.S. Studio Little Airplane Productions is currently looking for worldwide broadcast partners for a new 24 minute animated special titled Domo Rock!. If that sounds familiar to you, it’s because it’s the first 3rd party original production for the popular Domo-Kun mascot, which originally debuted in Japan on NHK. Little Airplane will be presenting the project next month at MIPCOM.

Domo Rock! is a co-production effort between Little Airplane, NHK, NHK Enterprises, and US licensing company Big Tent Entertainment. The feature follows the titular mascot from his home in Japan as he decides to go on an epic road trip to LA. The reason? He’s going to play a Hollywood concert. The matter of reaching LA is a problem, though. Domo must travel through various means – from train to boat and even motorcycle, simply because the airplane company didn’t want him to board with his beloved guitar.
