Little Witch Academia TV Adaptation Announced

Studio TRIGGER has announced the TV adaptation of Little Withc Academia, which will be directed by Yoh Yoshinari (Kill la Kill, Gurren Lagann).

The hit shojo anime is similar to Harry Potter and follows the adventures of Akko Kagari, an amateur witch at Luna Nova Magical Academy, which is a school exclusive for girl witches. Akko’s ambition is to live up to Shiny Chariot, her idol, whom her friends believe is a fake. However, she’s got a problem – she’s rather amateurish.

Little Witch Academia was originally released as a 30-minute short in 2013 but it earned too much support that its 1-hour sequel exceeded its $150,000 Kickstarter target in just a single day.
