Imira Entertainment has recently acquired several new international broadcasters for its new animated series Lucky Fred. The list of new broadcasters include RTM in Malaysia, e-Vision in UAE, TG4 in Ireland and Kidz in Turkey have joined TF1 for France; Disney Channel in Spain, France, Italy, Germany, India, Israel & Australia and Nickelodeon in Benelux, Scandinavia, Latin America, Asia & South Korea.

Lucky Fred is a co-production between Imira Entertainment and Italy’s Rai Fiction, as well as the Philippines’ Top Draw Animation. The 52×12 2D cartoon focuses on the space adventures of a 13 year old boy who possesses a voice-activated shape-shifting robot that can transform into any object that Fred wants.

Imira is also a participant in the MIPTV market, and along with the Lucky Fred show, they will also bring a Lucky Fred cross-platform app that features a web and mobile-based interactive geo-localised alien hunt.

“We have had an incredible response from buyers to Lucky Fred,” says Christophe Goldberger, producer and head of distribution and marketing at Imira. “ The series has already launched in Benelux, Scandinavia, Spain and Latin America and it is achieving excellent ratings, so we are looking forward to introducing to additional markets in the coming months. We are also very excited by the potential of the new App, which can be tailored to local towns and cities. It offers fans and their families an exciting, fun, interactive dimension to the show.”
