Marvel Launches Preschool Property, Super Hero Adventures

Despite being loved by geeks of all ages, one can argue that Marvel has never really had an exclusively preschool-targeted property. This would be odd now that Marvel is under the House of Mouse, so the recent announcement that Marvel Entertainment is launching its first multiplatform content program for a pre-K audience is not surprising, and in fact very welcome.

Dubbed Marvel Super Hero Adventures, this new line of brands will feature Marvel’s popular comic book properties retooled for a decidedly younger generation of fans. The line will combine animation and publishing in order to bring to life stories built around themes of friendship, kindness, resourcefulness, and all the other things that make Marvel’s superheroes heroic.

The first batch of content and merchandise for Marvel Super Hero Adventures will debut this fall, with expansions planned for spring 2018.

“We are delighted to bring Marvel Super Hero Adventures to life across multiple divisions of Marvel Entertainment,” said Dan Buckley, President, Marvel Entertainment. “The program and content that the teams have developed is smart, inspiring and will reach a whole new generation of Marvel fans.”

“Marvel storytelling and characters engage parents and fans around the world, and now preschoolers have the chance to experience the fun and excitement of the Marvel Universe,” said Paul Gitter, SVP, Marvel Licensing. “Marvel is a brand for fans of all ages, but particularly by preschoolers and trusted with preschool parents. Since our characters are inspiring, heroic, responsible, and brave, the new products are the perfect way for preschoolers to celebrate their passion for Marvel in their daily lives.”
