Masha and the Bear TV Series Continues Spain Expansion
The mega popular CG animated comedy series Masha the Bear is continuing its expansion, this time adding Spain’s leading animation channel Clan TV to its ever expanding list of broadcasters, as Clan TV has recently signed on and will screen seasons one and two of Masha and the Bear for its audience.
Created by the Moscow-based studio Animaccord, Masha and The Bear is a delightful series that follows the hilarious exploits of the hyperactive little girl Masha, and the father-figure Bear that very often becomes unintentional victim to her harebrained activities. The series is represented by INK Group across Europe, which has recently brokered deals across the MENA region. Danish Broadcasting Corporation, and PTS (free-to-air) and MOMO TV in Taiwan all purchased Masha and the Bear season two. ANTV bought Masha season three for broadcast across Indonesia. In Italy, both De Agostini and RAI (Italy’s national public broadcasting company) have snapped up season three and spin-off show Masha’s Spooky Stories. In France, Canal Plus and France TV have taken Masha’s Spooky Stories and season three respectively, while Polish station TV Puls is on board for Masha’s Spooky Stories.
“Clan TV is the best broadcaster we could have in Spain for Masha so we are delighted to team up with them and we are sure this will boost the whole licensing program,” says Jordi Rey, CEO Biplano Licensing, the sub-agent of INK Group for licensing in Iberia and France.
